Garra Rufa Fish Therapy @ Bangsar

Fish therapy or fish spa as some may call it is the latest rage in KL. Tiny fishes exfoliate you legs while you relax and dip your legs into the water. It was a fun and ticklish experience.

Nice ambiance

I get to try the Garra Rufa Fish Therapy in Bangsar with my good friend one fine Saturday morning. Located in Bangsar Baru area, it is on the same row as Kemaman Kopitiam. Price is RM38 for 30 minutes and RM72 for 1 hour. They did give us a little extra time as they know we were trying so hard to put our legs in but they were so ticklish! It takes time getting used to. Before you dip your legs, you have to scrub em first. We don't want the fishies to get food poisoning do we? :p

Look at Them Go!

Was it effective? Hmm..the legs felt smoother but I still have a lot more fish food for the fishes..30 minutes is not enough for me! In my opinion, I would think pumice stone and soap would give better results but having fishes nibble at your legs can be a therapautic experience itself. The fishes they use are the real Garra Rufa fishes not the cheaper Chin Chin fishes as the fishes are

  1. Bottom feeders
  2. Did some research on the net, they look like the Garra Rufa fishes

Go early as the fishes are most hungry during that time. The place is quiet and we had very much of the place to ourselves :)

Hair Kunst @ The Curve

After downloading the MyStyle voucher (to get 50% off hair services) and delaying my appointment a few times, I finally went there.

The place is a little hidden, above Waroeng Penyet. Need to take a lift up that only serves that floor. You can choose to have few types of drinks like tea, green tea or coffee.

My hairstylist was Qamal. He was friendly but wasn't too accommodating when I was trying to make the decision on hair colour and style. Moreover, there is not much change in style after the cut. In fact, it looked practically the same except for the colour. He did a good job with the colour though.

I saw this other stylist, if not mistaken is Bambang. I read from other blogs that he is really good. I saw the way he explained to the customer when choosing colours, he is really good. He even show them how it looks like under the light, explaining why he wants to do certain things to suit the face, etc etc....

If I ever go Hair Kunst again, I will request for his services. It is cheap with the MyStyle voucher RM177.50 for colour, highlight and cut!
