Betty's Midwest Kitchen @ Aman Suria

I kind of miss the American food that I had during my trip to the US and when I heard that Betty's Midwest Kitchen is serving American southern favourites, I had an agenda to try it one day. Thus, we were there for dinner on one particular day :)

Dog Food (RM7.50) is not Pedigree brand food! It is basically fried fries with brown gravy and topped with melted cheese. Tasty snack food albeit sinful. The fries are homemade and thickly cut and served on oh well on a dog-look-alike bowl.

Dog Food

Country Fried Chicken (RM13) which is simple fried chicken served with creamy mash potatoes and peas. The chicken pieces are too miniscule and KFC fills up better anytime. The chicken was also dry and hard. However, the sides of mash potatoes and peas is pretty good.

Country Fried Chicken

Grilled Baby Back Ribs (RM28.50) which is supposed to be one of their signature dish. The meat is really tender and falls off the bones! The sauce is really flavourful but a little on the salty side for me. Served with thickly cut fries and coleslaw and two large pieces of ribs.

Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Pork Chop with Apple (RM20) is quite bad as the meat is really dry and hard plus we didn't really like the apple sauce that goes with it. The sauce contains a little bit of cinnamon and I don't really think it goes well with the pork chop. Again, the mash potatoes and peas are good.

Pork Chop wit Apple

Pulled pork burger (RM20) that is pieces of pork "pulled" off from the bones. Thus, the name pulled pork burger. The sauce is a little on the sour side. Had this before in the States but I find that the one here lacked the smokey barbeque taste.

Here they serve Root Beer at RM6.50 and they do charge 10% service charge.
