Craft Brews

There's no doubt that pork and beer goes hand in hand for a enjoyable meal. Have been "warned" about how bad the food was, this time decided to go and give it a try. The food may been bad once but not necessarily over time especially it has been around for quite a bit. The non smoking area was full and so we went to the sofa seating area to wait for a table. Meantime, we ordered our food and beer while we waited. Looks good as they always say, a packed place is usually a sign for good food :p

So Darn Right!

The Combo Platter consists of "goodies" famous in Craft Brews which is the Egg Plant Chips, Bacon Wrapped Classic Roast Pork Skewers and a choice of Caramelized Pork, Pork I or Pork II. Loved the delicious crispy deep fried slices of egg plants with bits and pieces of dried shrimp which was nice to chew on with a nice mug of beer. The Bacon Wrap Skewers were excellent as the method of grilling lends a slight smoky flavour to the meat. A sliver of onions and green pepper gave it an extra nice taste. For the last choice, we chose either Pork I or Pork II as I cannot really remember which was which. The only difference is that one is spicy and one is not. We chose the former and it was really addictive. Fried pork belly in black sauce with herbs and cili padi. My friend was practically chewing on the chillies and when I tried one, it nearly burnt my tongue!

We were given a complimentary bowl of minestrone soup which was a nice touch and it wasn't some kind of diluted crap.

Crispy Roast Pork Salad was great. Loads of greens and the roast pork has been well battered and fried till crisp. The batter was light and not too thick. The portion is pretty big too and the bits of pork was pretty generous. The meat has a salty bite and goes great with any beer.

Honey Mustard Pork Ribs came with a side of vegetables, corn and very tasty fried potato wedges. There were four pieces ribs which were well marinated and flavourful. We made a good choice my ordering this :)

A place to try the Flying Dog beer which if not mistaken, is an American beer and some of their very own cocktails. The ambiance was great for a nice drink and a fun chatter. They used to have a beer buffet for RM66++ but now they no longer have this :(
