Good Evening Bangkok @ One Utama

It has been years since I last had a meal here in Good Evening Bangkok and it was a good experience. After all those year, I never knew why it did not come across my mind to go there. I usually get my Thai food fix in My Elephant because I wouldn't need to hunt for a parking space in a shopping mall.

The Tom Yam Poh Teak (RM12.90) for one person portion was recommended by the staff there. An initial plan of ordering Tom Yam Goong was changed as the staff in waiting recommended the spicy clear tomyam soup which is filled with seafood and mushrooms. Very nice soup and low fat too! :p Didn't see a single drop of oil in there and the taste of the herbs is very well defined. Excellent choice!

Having tried the Cripsy Catfish with Mango Salad (RM 17.90) in June Thai previously, chanced upon it in here. The catfish is deep fried until really crispy and the mango salad was piquant and tangy. Very palatable and it is definitely an excellent starter to start with.

At first, felt that the Beef with Black Pepper Sauce (RM19.90) was a little too sweet but after a while of eating it, it got better and better. Getting a little addicted to it. The beef slices were tender though.

The Braised Asparagus with Prawns (RM17.90) was excellent. Loved those juicy succulent pieces of asparagus and the sauce was good. Was spooning the sauce over my rice most of the time and they were pretty generous with the portion.

Didn't regret coming back here again. The food is delicious, ambiance comfortable and has got the Thai feel, wasn't crowded and service was quite ok. It is located next to Robot Sushi facing the inner outdoor area of New Wing in One Utama. It has the usual 10% service charge and 6% government tax.
